CHRISTIANSBURG – Ann Courtney Kennemur Wrenn, 70, of 115 Windsong Lane, Christiansburg, and formerly of Clifton Forge, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Christiansburg.

She was born January 5, 1940 in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., a daughter of the late Calvin Smith Kennemur and Lucy Crawley Kennemur.

She was a graduate of both Roanoke Rapids High School and Campbell University in North Carolina, and was a homemaker throughout her life.

She lived for many years in Clifton Forge, attending Clifton Forge Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the church choir, volunteered at Alleghany Regional Hospital, and belonged to the Spade and Trowel Garden Club and the Clifton Forge Music Club.

She was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Radford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Kennemur Saintsing.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew Lee Wrenn; a son, Andrew Lee Wrenn Jr.; and two granddaughters, Amber Nicole Wrenn and Kensley Danielle Wrenn, all of Christiansburg; a sister, Sara Kennemur Mountford and husband, Bill of Fuqua Varina, N.C.; a brother-in-law, Robert Wrenn and wife, Mary of Woodbridge; a sister-in-law, Mary Wrenn Gay and husband Bobby of Emporia; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, N.C. with Dr. William Kennemur Mountford officiating.

Arrangements in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. are being handled by Wrenn, Clarke, and Hagan Funeral Home.

Local arrangements are being handled by Nicely Funeral Home.
