ROANOKE - Patricia Cuffia “Pat” Rankin, 66, of Craig County, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. and Ruby Greenwald Cuffia.
Mrs. Rankin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia, her Master’s in Education from Virginia Tech and a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Virginia.
She retired from Catawba Hospital.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, John Wilson “Jack” Rankin III; and brother, Richard Allen Cuffia and wife, Linda, of Wise, N.C.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd., Roanoke, with the Rev. Ernie Johnson officiating.
Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Simpson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare 301 Elm Ave., S. W. Roanoke, Va. 24016.
