CHS 8th Graders Top Maury River

LEXINGTON - The Covington 8th grade volleyball team hit the road Monday for a match at Maury River Middle School and came away with a win.

The Little Cougars won the match 25-13, 25-23.

Autumn Woodson led Covington with 13 points, while Taylor Ginger also reached double figures with 12.

Mikayla Andrews had nine, Dakota Botkin chipped in eight, Kelsey Young finished with five and Kelsey Hayslett had three to round out the CHS scoring.

The Covington 8th grade volleyball team will be back in action next Monday at Patrick Henry Middle School.
