There is no charge to list upcoming events, however, other than ongoing meetings, items are limited to no more than two weeks before the event. Church items are limited to benefits, dinners and yard or bake sales and are published only during the week of the event. Non-profit group yard and bake sales and family reunions and open houses are also published only during the week the event is being held.
Tuesday, Sept. 10
Jackson River Garden Club: The Jackson River Garden Club will meet Tuesday at Mallow Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. All exhibits must be in place by 12:30 p.m. for judging.
Men of Mission: Men of Mission will met for breakfast at Boy’s Home at 8 a.m. in the dining hall.
Sunday, Sept. 14
STARS: Virginia Opry will open its 22nd performance season at the Masonic Amphitheatre at 8 p.m. with STARS at the Virginia Opry.
Monday, Sept. 16
Coin Club: The Covington Area Coin club will meet at 7 p.m. at Covington City Hall. Call Ken Headley at 962-9491 for more information.
