The Salvation Army is reminding the public that it will be accepting Angel Tree applications in the Highlands for two more weeks.
Applications will be taken Monday-Friday in Clifton Forge at Central United Methodist Church. The hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The final week of applications will be held Oct. 21-25 at The Salvation Army’s Covington Community Center, 115 S. Lexington Ave. The hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
No applications will be taken via telephone.
The Salvation Army uses its Angel Tree program to match donors with children from qualified families unable to provide gifts and clothing to their children during the holidays.
Applicants are required to bring proof of income for the previous 30 days, monthly expenses, Social Security numbers and clothing sizes for children. Applicants must also submit information regarding their child’s Christmas wish.
