Ellene Christine King, 63, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013.
She was born November 1, 1949, in Clifton Forge, to the late James Hickenbotham and Dena Waldron Hickenbotham.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marion Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, Owen A. King; children, Una H. Sycamore, Teresa S. Brown and Dacia L. Marlow; grandchildren, Kyesha L. Sycamore, Donovan A. Brown, Justin A. Brown, Jocelyn M. Brown, Benjamin Marlow, Dena Marlow and Jasmine Marlow; great-grandchild, Semaja G. Sycamore; brothers, Donald and David Hickenbotham; sisters, Drema Webb, Sandra Buckley and Sybil Hickenbotham.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Ulas N. Broady officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
Interment will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
