Roy Cecil (Buck) Tyler, Jr.  86, formerly of Roanoke passed away Thursday,  October 17, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Buck is survived by his loving son and daughter in law, Alex and Beth Kornegay-Tyler; an 18 year-old  grandson, Ben, all from Atlanta; brother, Gardner Tyler and sister, Eleanor Reyns.

Buck was a veteran of both the Army and Navy.  He retired from Fruehauf Trailer Company.  Upon the passing of his lovely wife Margaret in 2001, Buck moved to Atlanta to be closer to his immediate family.

We will all remember Buck as a very outgoing and personable individual who cared for so many during his lifetime and will be truly missed.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org).

There will be a gathering of friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.

A celebration of Buck’s life will follow at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with the Rev.  Gary Heaton of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.

After the burial, family and friends are invited to a reception to be held at Simpson Funeral Home.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory.
