GREENVILLE — Led by 16 points from foreign exchange student Michal Sagula, Riverheads posted a 50-30 win over Covington on the opening night of the Riverheads Holiday Classic in Greenville on Friday night.
Raquann Matthews led Covington with eight points, Quinton Hunter, Jordan Miller and Colton Howard all had five points for the Cougars, John Roldan scored four and Gavin Hunter had three.
“Sagula probably had eight blocks and a dozen boards,” said CHS coach Garland Jefferson. “He was a difference maker.”
The Cougars face Stuarts Draft today at Riverheads.
