An Open House was held at the Eddie Hall Senior Center on Sunday, Oct. 27, to introduce a new home for displaying memorabilia from the former Boiling Spring High School.

As a result of closing Boiling Spring School, most of its memorabilia has been obtained by the School Reunion Committee and prominently displayed at the Senior Center.

The Senior Center has designated a room for display of school materials, which includes items gathered and used at previous reunions, donations of materials from students and photos of all graduating classes of Boiling Spring High School.

All pictures are framed and displayed by class with names typed so that visitors may easily identify family and friends.

Several notebooks with school newspaper articles, school programs and general information are also available for review.

All former students are encouraged to stop by and view the display.

The Senior Center, located at 114 Hickory Hill Road, is open on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Should you be unable to attend during this time, contact Ellen Hepler or Karen Danley of the Reunion Committee who will try to assist you.

The Reunion Committee is grateful to the Alleghany County School Board for providing many of these materials and the Eddie Hall Senior Center for displaying them so that the Boiling Spring School heritage remains within the community.
