Pauline Elizabeth Campbell Jones, age 90, of 800 West Ridgeway Street, Scott Hill, Clifton Forge, died Friday January 31, 2014 at LewisGale Hospital- Alleghany.

She was born March 29, 1923 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Harry Jasper and Janie V. Angell Campbell.

She was a retired waitress from Whitmer’s Restaurant and also worked for Jane Colby Apparel of Clifton Forge. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Selma, and a charter member and life member of the Selma Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed line dancing and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Jones in 1984, and a son Stanley E. Wright; two brothers, Harry Jasper Campbell, Jr. and Bernard Malcolm Campbell; a sister, Vera Valinda Campbell.

She is survived by a son, Dennis A. Jones and his wife Angela of Covington; a daughter-in-law, Terrie Wright of Clifton Forge; a half sister, Jean May of Logan, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Gene Wright and wife Robin, Lynda Pezzella, Brandon Jones and wife Rachael, and Scott Jones and wife Jennifer; seven great grandchildren, Cory Wright, Carrigan Wright, Matthew Pezzella, Jacob Pezzella, Desmond Jones, Kayleah Jones, and Mia Jones and a number of nieces and nephews. Also special friends, Edith Fowler and Lou Ann Humphreys.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Hartsfield officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.  

Serving as active pallbearers will be Gene Wright, Brandon Jones, Scott Jones, Cory Wright, Mac Campbell, Danny Campbell and Paul Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.

The family suggest memorial tributes take the form of contributions to The American Cancer Society, C/O Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Blvd., Clifton Forge, Va. 24422 or Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, Va. 24422.
