CLIFTON FORGE — The Friends of the Clifton Forge Public Library are requesting donations to support their upcoming spring book sale.
Books, audio books, CDs and DVDs are especially requested. Puzzles and games (complete and with no missing or broken pieces) will also be accepted.
The condition of the materials received is very important. For the health and safety of patrons, volunteers, and staff, library officials respectfully request books and materials that are in gently-handled condition, clean, dry, and mold-free.
Donations are accepted by the library staff throughout the year during normal operating hours: Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Through March 22, the Friends of the Library group will offer a free pick-up service for people with large numbers of books to donate. To arrange for an evening or weekend pick-up, call Gary Gardner at 862-7570 (home) or 740-407-2849 (cell).
The funds raised from the book sales are used to purchase new library materials and to support library programs.
For more information, call the library at 863-2519.
