The descendants of George Franklin and Mary Ann Morris Nicely gathered at the Sharon Senior Citizen Center for their annual reunion on Saturday, July 28.
Ron Dowd led in a time of memory for the four deceased members since the last reunion. They were Polly Rice Sims, J .R. and Charlotte Wallace, and Booker Adkins.
The blessing was given and delicious food was enjoyed by all.
Prizes were awarded to the following: oldest woman, Willie Ward; oldest man Haven Nicely; youngest person, Brintley Faith Wright; traveling the greatest distance, Janice Smalley.
Attendees of Cenie Nicely Smith Higgins family were Willie Ward and Michael Hess.
Hugh Nicely descendants were Mike, Liz, and Sarah Ramey, Ron Dowd, Rick and Lynda Bartsch, Virginia and Gary Gardner and Gabrielle, David and Chris Sims, Dianne Embleton, and Janice Smalley.
Graham and Joann Anderson represented Roxie Nicely Wallace’s family.
Irma Sorrels was present from Tyree Nicely’s family.
Will Nicely’s family members were Hazel and Bob Persinger, Sylvia Warren, Sara Nicely, Joe Sparths, Mandy Nicely, Dorothy and Howard Nicely, Hallie and Zach Gunter, Dolly Campbell, Jim Chapman, Gary and Teresa Stansbury, Clivie W. Nicely, Virginia Nicely, Mark, April Nicely, and Brintley Wright, Guy, Dawn, Josh K. Carrie Gunter, and Julie Nicely.
Friends attending were Sarah Hershler, and Haven Nicely.
Door prizes were awarded and games of Bingo were enjoyed before concluding the reunion until next year reunion on the fourth Saturday of July.
