Alexander “Alex” Robert  Dressler, age 23, of 11403 Douthat State Park Road, Millboro, Virginia died Friday August 29, 2014.
He was born in Roanoke on May 24, 1991, a son of David Dressler and Malinda Persinger Booze. 

He was a graduate of Bath County High School, and was a laborer and lumberjack for Bennett Sawmill.  He was also a member of Lifeline Ministries and the Beard’s Mountain Boys.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Hopeless Dunbar, his grandfather, Paul Dressler, and his great-grandmother, Evelyn Persinger.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, David and Jessica Dressler of Millboro: mother and step-father, Malinda and Gregory Booze of Clifton Forge; fiancée, Candice Ryder of  Millboro; a sister, Hope Dressler of Glen Wilton; a half sister, Kyleigh Booze of  Clifton Forge;  four step-sisters, Allie Hurley of White Sulphur, Destiny Hurley of White Sulphur, Emilee Booze of Clifton Forge, and Lilly Blankenship of Millboro; two step-brothers, Ethan Miller of Millboro, and Jacob Booze of Clifton Forge; paternal grandmother, Norma Dressler of Millboro; maternal grandparents, Buddy and Paula Persinger of Hot Springs; two special uncles, Timmy Dressler and Paul Dressler and aunt, Belinda Wilfong; his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Dunbar III, Briyana Dunbar, Angelina Dunbar; and special aunts, Brenda Wright and Betty Bradberry; his hunting companions, Roscoe and Maggie; and many cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Frank Neff officiating, assisted by Reverend Doug Moore. 

Interment will follow in Peaceful Mountain Cemetery, on Douthat State Park Road. 

Active pallbearers will be Timmy Dressler, Paul Dressler, Anthony Barnes, Devin Davis, Paul Adams, John Ford, Danny Newberry, and John Glover.

Alternate pallbearers will be Jamie Dunbar and Bedford Sharp.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Nicely Funeral Home.
