Ronnie E. Hepler, 60, of Covington, VA passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Southeastern Regional Medical Cancer Center in Newnan, GA.

Born December 18, 1953 in Covington, VA, he was a son of Dorothy Dameron Hepler of Covington, VA and the late Wilbur Hepler.

Ronnie was a 1973 graduate of Alleghany High School and was a former employee of UPS and Westvaco.  He worked at Westvaco for 39 years in various positions.  The last several years he was employed as a loader/shipper on the #8 paper machine. Ronnie was a member of the CPU Local.

He attended Wild Meadow Baptist Church and loved the Lord.

Other than his dad, he was preceded in death by his
father-in-law, Charles White in 2000.

Survivors other than his mother arehis wife; Kyletha White
Hepler of Covington, three daughters; Teresa Barrett Vinnie) of Medina, NY, Jennifer Shaffer (John) of Clifton Forge, VA, Beth Gould (Dan) of Del Rio, TN, two sons; Adam O’Brien of Clayton, NC, and Wesley O’Brien of White Sulphur Springs, one brother; Stevie Hepler of Covington, VA, sixteen grandchildren, two nephews, two nieces, and a very special great-nephew, Zevin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Wild Meadow Baptist Church, Rt. 92, White Sulphur Springs with Rev. Lowell O’Dell and Buck Caldwell officiating.

Interment will follow at the Lone Star Cemetery, Potts Creek, VA. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Wild Meadow Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Dan Gould, Trey White, James Bush Jr.,
Robbie Hepler, Carl Simms, Lewis Kirby, Jim Carter, Matthew Baum, Chad Ryder, and honorary pallbearers, Cleveland Armontrout and Steve Hall.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the
Wild Meadow Baptist Church, the American Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society.

Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs is serving the family.
