91 Carfest Entrants Raise Funds For Safehome Systems

The 15th annual Carfest show was held Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m. at Cucci’s Pizzeria.

Ninety-one entrants participated in the event and raised over $500 for Safehome Systems, Inc.

Top 25 trophy winners were Duane Dudley with a 1927 Ford Aero Roadster dragster, Richard Wanless with a 1968 Plymouth GTX, Julius Sexton with a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500, Jerry Taylor with a 1988 Monte Carlo, Mike Bowen with a 1963 Chevy Pro Street pickup, David McFall with a 1963 Chevrolet Impala.

Also: Billy Staton with a 1974 Chevrolet pickup, Buck Morgan with a 1956 Ford, Rick McLaughlin with a 1968 Camaro, Timmy Byer with a 2014 Dodge Challenger, James Craft with a 2008 Mustang, Edward and Fonda Coffee with a 1966 Mustang.

Also: Denny Pence with a 1966 Mustang, Harley Drummond with 1979 Ford pickup, Henry Jackson with a 1939 Oldsmobile, Dicky Engleman with a 1957 Chevrolet, Carroll Brough-man with a 1955 Chevrolet, Robert Floyd with a 2002 Corvette.

Also: Bob Benson with a 1969 Corvette, Garland Ferris with a 1973 Dodge Dart, Johnny and Shirley Nida with a 1930 Ford, Larry and Leta Norfleet with a 1969 Dodge Dart, Donna Lawhorn with a Harley-Davidson 1200 Sportster motorcycle, Jackie and Pam Moore with a 1967 Chevelle, and Gary Dilley with a 1938 Ford Coupe.

The winner of a special Kid’s Trophy, voted on by children under 12 years old, was Susie Pence with a 2007 Shelby GT Mustang.

Organizers for the event were Ray Keen Jr., David Arritt, David Pack, Chris Persinger, Robert Jackson, Kyle Arritt, Wesley Arritt and Ray Keen Sr.

Registration for the annual Carfest show was handled by Mandy Lee Arritt, Ellen Hatfield, Tracie Fridley and Mandy Lu Arritt.
