FAWN GROVE, PA. — William Darryl Nelson, 69, of 190 Mill Street, Fawn Grove, Pa., died, Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, after a short battle with lung cancer.
He was born Feb. 10, 1945, in Clifton Forge, to the late Harry E. and Georgia K. Nelson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant babies, his twin brother, E. Harold Nelson, sisters Claudine Shirk, and Donna Persinger.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Mays Nelson; two sons, Bill and Scottie; three grandsons, Jeffery, Dylan, and Tucker; one granddaughter, Contessa, all of Fawn Grove; a brother Harry K. Nelson, of Mechanicsville; four sisters, Lois Nicely and June Carter of Clifton Forge, Ann Hancock, of Lenoir, N.C., and Barbara Evanko, of Pinecrest, Fla.
His body was cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Fire House, in Fawn Grove.
