Benny Joe Edward Talbert, age 35, of 20968 Botetourt Rd, Eagle Rock, Virginia died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at his residence.
He was born February 2, 1979 in Roanoke to Donna K. Wiseman Talbert and the late Benny Eugene Talbert. He was a self employed horse trainer and attended Living Stones Ministries. He belonged to the Bordernier Riding Club.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mila Carter Kelly.
He is survived by his mother, Donna K. Wiseman Talbert of Eagle Rock; two sisters, Deana Collins of Eagle Rock and Shailey Rose of North Carolina; two step brothers, Ronnie Talbert and Derick Kelly; six nieces and nephews; and special friend, Erica Dluzhiewski.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastors David and Kathy Atkinson officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel U.M.C. Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
