Alleghany Highlands Community Services hosted a Legislative Breakfast October 6 with Del. Terry Austin (R-Buchanan), left, and State Sen. Creigh Deeds, (D-Hot Springs), right.

During the interactive breakfast, a panel of AHCS supervisors, board members and leadership team members were given the opportunity to hear Deeds’ and Austin’s perspectives on many topics related to mental health disorders, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse disorders.

Members of the panel also had the opportunity to share successes and challenges of AHCS with the two legislators.
