Eva Rock Johnson, 95 of Roanoke, formally of West Virginia passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 surrounded by the love and support of her family.
Eva was a Hostess at Hardees Restaurant on Plantation Road for over 16 years, during which time she enjoyed meeting and greeting customers and making them ALL feel welcome.
She was predeceased by her husband Hollis I. Johnson, her son Ray I. Johnson, her grandson, Christopher Sprinkel, sister, Anna Rayhill and brothers, Edwin, Joe, Jake, Henry, Mike and Julius Rock.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Barbara J. Woodard and her husband Richard; son, John Meich and his wife Jill; grandchildren, Sabrina Johnson and Jon Johnson and Jenny Meich; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends, including Peter Cardinal and Janie Lawhorne.
Friends are welcome to call Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 2 – 5 PM at Oakey’s North Chapel, 6732 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke where a service celebrating Eva’s 95 years will be held Monday at 10 AM in Oakey’s Chapel with Rev. Virgil Woodie and Rev. Peter Cardinal officiating.
Interment Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
