LEXINGTON — Lexington’s annual Candlelight Processional and Tree Lighting will be held on Friday, Nov. 28.
The processional will form up at 5:15 p.m. at the Main Street entrance to Stonewall Jackson Cemetery where candles and holiday songbooks will be distributed.
At 5:30 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead the processional down Main Street in a horse-drawn carriage provided by the Lexington Carriage Company. The processional will turn onto Washington Street and gather at Hopkins Green, where participants will enjoy refreshments furnished by the Sam Houston Ruritan Club and music provided by Kelly Harris.
Caroling will continue and the town crier will light the community tree, officially ushering in the holiday season.
This year’s processional will be organized by Main Street Lexington and underwritten by the Sam Houston Ruritan Club.
Rain date is Saturday, Nov. 29.
