ALLEGHANY COUNTY
ELEMENTARY AND
MIDDLE SCHOOLS
Monday: Breakfast — Juice, fruit, cereal, toast or  sausage biscuit.

 Lunch — Entree choices: Pepperoni, cheese pizza, or mini corn dogs, french fries, vegetable blend,  fruit choices.

Tuesday: Breakfast — Juice, fruit, cereal, toast or  chicken biscuit.

 Lunch — Entree choices: Chicken and cheese wrap or cheeseburger on bun, sweet potato fries, seasoned green beans, fruit choices

Wednesday: Breakfast — Juice, fruit, cereal, toast or  breakfast pizza.

 Lunch — Entree choices: Beef taco with brown rice or chicken patty on bun, seasoned corn, Romaine lettuce and tomato mix, navy beans,  fruit choices.

Thursday: Breakfast — Juice, fruit, cereal, toast or  biscuit with scrambled eggs and bacon.

 Lunch — Entree choices: Chicken tenders with roll, or beef and bean burrito,  scalloped potatoes, seasoned broccoli florets, celery stick with low-fat dip, fruit choices.

Friday: Breakfast — Juice, fruit, cereal, toast or  French toast sticks.

Lunch — Entree choices: Meatballs with roll or hot dog on bun, creamed potatoes with gravy, seasoned lima beans, baby carrots with low-fat dip,  fruit choices.

Choice of 1 percent white and non-fat chocolate milk is offered with breakfast and lunch. Pre-made salads offered daily as an entree item. Pizza is offered daily  at the Middle School. A choice of canned or fresh fruit  is offered daily and baked potatoes are offered as an Al A Carte item.

SCHOOLS
Monday: Breakfast —  Cheese toast or cereal, yogurt.

Lunch — Taco salad, black beans, California mix, fruit choice.

Tuesday: Breakfast —  Breakfast pizza or cereal, toast.

Lunch — Macaroni-ham and cheese, broccoli, R/O veggie cup, roll, fruit choice.

Wednesday: Breakfast — Cream cheese bagel or yogurt, graham cracker.

Lunch — Potato soup, grilled cheese sandwich, tossed salad, fruit choice.

Thursday: Breakfast — Sausage biscuit or cereal, yogurt.

Lunch — Hamburger steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, fruit choice.

Friday: Breakfast —  Muffin, yogurt, cereal toast.

Lunch — Turkey and cheese sandwich, sweet potato rounds, peas, fruit.

All meals are served with a choice of low-fat or fat-free milk. Tossed salad is offered daily as a vegetable choice in all schools.

COVINGTON
SCHOOLS
Monday: Breakfast — Chilled fruit or juice, cereal, toast,  yogurt with graham crackers, sausage biscuit, milk.

Lunch — Corn dog nuggets, sweet potato fries, baked beans, pineapple tidbits, milk.

Tuesday: Breakfast — Chilled fruit or juice, cereal, toast,  yogurt with graham crackers, breakfast pizza, milk.

Lunch — Salisbury steak and gravy, creamed potatoes, green peas, lima beans, peaches, milk.

Wednesday:  Breakfast — Chilled fruit or juice, cereal, toast,  yogurt with graham crackers, scrambled eggs, milk.

Lunch — Pepperoni pizza, Romain salad with dressing, corn, mixed fruit, milk.

Thursday: Breakfast — Chilled fruit or juice, cereal, toast,  yogurt with graham crackers, breakfast burrito, milk.

Lunch — Pork roast with gravy, creamed potatoes,  broccoli and chopped kale,  mandarin oranges, rolls, milk.

Friday: Breakfast — chilled fruit or juice, cereal, toast, yogurt with graham crackers, pancakes, milk.

Lunch — Manwich on bun, cole slaw, Tater Tots, white bean, pears, milk.

Additional menu items are offered at Covington High School and Jeter-Watson Intermediate: Romaine salad with dressing, sandwiches, yogurt. Choice of milk, 1 percent white and fat free flavored.
