Public Offices To Close For Holidays

The following local offices nesses will be closed for the observance of Lee Jackson Day, Friday, Jan. 16, The Virginia Workforce Center, The offices of the Alleghany County Treasurer and Commissioner of Revenue, and The Alleghany County/Covington Health Department.

The following businesses will be closed for the Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 19, The Virginia Workforce Center, The Alleghany County/Covington Health Department, The offices of the Alleghany County Treasurer and Commissioner of Revenue, The Alleghany County School Board Office, and The Alleghany County Governmental Complex.

Those businesses will re-open Tuesday, Jan. 20 at regular hours.

The Island Ford Transfer Station will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 19.
