Covington Police Chief J.B. Broughman has released his department’s activity report for the month of October.
City dispatchers received 767 calls for service, 474 were police calls.
There were 121 rescue squad calls and 20 fire calls. Forty-nine complaints were received concerning animals. There were 11 public works complaints. Eleven calls were referred to other agencies.
Officers made 14 misdemeanor arrests and five felony arrests.
Officers issued 22 traffic citations. Twenty-seven motor vehicle accidents were investigated. Officers answered 67 traffic-related calls.
Officers drove a total of 15,771 miles for the month.

— Burglary, breaking and entering, six.
— Destruction of property/vandalism, five.
— False pretense, swindle, one.
— Theft from building, two.
— Other larcenies, seven.
