A new four-credit course, “Solar Power-Photovoltaic and Thermal” (ENE 120) has been scheduled for the spring 2015 semester on the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Clifton Forge campus.
The course will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 12, from 1 to 3:50 p.m. in Room 371, Scott Hall. The instructor is Doug Jones.
The course will cover theory and practical aspects of both photovoltaic (PV) and thermal technologies, including surveys and siting, energy use and cost analysis/ROI, system design, equipment and tools, and installation practices and techniques.
