Mrs. Elizabeth Mynes Owens, age 72, of Clifton Forge, died on January 16, 2015, at the Golden Living Center- Alleghany, Clifton Forge.
Mrs. Owens was born November 4, 1942 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Woodrow Clayton Mynes and Elsie Angle Mynes.
A lifetime member of this community, she had been employed as a machinist by Ingersall Rand before her retirement. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness in Clifton Forge.
Mrs. Owens is survived by four sons, Tony Lewis Thurston of Covington, Timmy Lee Tabor of Clifton Forge, Terry Lynn Tabor of Tennessee, and Michael Eugene Caudell of Louisiana; one daughter, Tina Louise Ballou of Clifton Forge; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Mynes of Jacksonville, NC, Richard Mynes of Covington and Samuel Mynes of Clifton Forge; three sisters, Gloria Mynes of Clifton Forge, Betty Harlow of Covington and Wanda Mundy of Clifton Forge.
