ELKTON, Md.— Therressa L. Hames, 61, of Elkton, Md., died, Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014.
Born in Covington, April 30, 1953, she was the daughter of Hampton E. Hames Jr. and Betty A. Southers Forbes, of Clifton Forge.
Mrs. Hames had worked for the State of Maryland as a District Court Clerk.
She loved being with her family and her church family at United Redeemed Church, Elkton, Md.
She enjoyed fishing, sewing, embroidery, and being at her pool.
She will also be missed by their dog, “Bella.”
In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband of 34 years, Thomas E. Hames Jr.; son, M. Scott Hames, Richardson Park, Del.; siblings, Hampton Forbes III, Edinburg, Deborah Aretz (Jack), Mt. Jackson, Gwyneth Schultz (Albert), Atlanta, Ga.; father-in-law, T. Earl Hames (Barbara), West Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Sheryl Hames Zenel (Chris), Wilmington, Del., and Susan Hames Mammele (Jeff), Claymont, Del.
She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, as well as lifelong friends, Aileen Murry, Bear, Del., and Robert Leisure, Stanton, Del.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec. 7, at United Redeemed Church, 1552 Singerly Rd., Elkton, Md. 21921.
Visitation was held one hour before the service.
