Members of the Alleghany High School Future Farmers of America organization attended the 87th annual FFA National Convention held October 28 through November 1 in Louisville, Ky.
Emily Moyers of the AHS organization, who also serves as the FFA Northern Area vice president, was there to represent the Western Virginia FFA.
Three other AHS members also attended. While there the AHS FFA members attended college expos, career fairs, leadership workshops and FFA inspirational sessions.
The group held fundraiser throughout the summer to offset the cost of the trip.
The Bordernier Riding Club made a donation to the AHS group to help make the trip possible.
There were over 64,000 members and guests in attendance, 400 of which were from Virginia.
