AREA SUPER BOWL CONNECTION — Tim Wright, a tight end with the New England Patriots, is the area connection to Sunday’s Super Bowl.
Wright’s grandparents Shirley and Nate Scott are natives of Covington, who now live in Neptune, N.J. Wright is a cousin to Stephanie Clark, and the great nephew of Stephanie’s mother Carolyn L. Ross and the Rev. Dr. Dianne Quarles.
Wright, who played collegiately at Rutgers, was in Tampa Bay for the 2013 season before being traded to New England in August of 2014.
This year for the Patriots, Wright has 26 catches and six touchdowns.
