Harry Nickell

Mr. Harry Basil Nickell, age 87, of Covington died Tuesday, March 27, 2018. He was the husband of Pauline Pearman Nickell.
Mr. Nickell was born August 6, 1930, in Alleghany County, the son of the late Hayes Nickell and Alice Noble Nickell. 

He was a resident of the community all of his life.

Mr. Nickell served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was the former owner/ operator of the former Nickell Electric and Furniture. 

Mr. Nickell was of the Episcopal faith.
He is survived by one son, Nick Nickell, fiancé  Tammy Graham of Covington; one daughter, Linda Marie Nickell Stanlick, husband David of Harrisonburg; one sister, Lillian Devenny, husband John;  three grandchildren, Chad Nickell, wife Ashleigh, Brandon Lee Nickell, and Eric G. Tingler, partner Renee Tucker; and four great-grandchildren, Sam Nickell, Lennon Nickell, Maddox Tingler, and Kye Tingler.
Mr. Nickell was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Private funeral services were held.
