Myrle Gibson

Mrs. Myrle Alice Landis Gibson, age 91, of Covington, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Brian Center-Alleghany, Low Moor.   She was the wife of the late Ira Ryner Gibson.
Mrs. Gibson was born January 5, 1926 in Marlinton, WV, the daughter of the late Samuel Landis and Stella Wilford Landis.   

She was a former employee of Industrial Rayon.

Mrs. Gibson loved using metal detectors.  Merle was a member of Grace Brethren Church.  She was the last surviving member of the Landis family.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by a son, Larry F. Gibson and wife, Karen; two daughters, Yolanda Hatcher and husband, Allen and Anita Dunnavant and husband, Ralph; a daughter-in-law, Marian Gibson; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by a son, Gary W. Gibson in January, 2017.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 19, 2017 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Gillette officiating. 

Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
