LEWISBURG, W.Va. — Greenbrier Motor Company is celebrating its 75th anniversary of selling both new and used vehicles to customers in West Virginia, Virginia and beyond.
The dealership is located at 9841 Seneca Trail in Lewisburg.
“Greenbrier Motors has always done things the simple, old fashioned way — selling cars at a fair and honest price with service that is unparalleled,”?said Duane Wolfe, general sales manager.  “We have often used the slogan:?‘Where Friends Send Friends’,”?added Wolfe. “What we mean by that is friends will recommend doing business with people they trust and like. That’s what enables our business to continue to grow.”
William J. Talbott and family have owned the company since 1964. The building that houses Greenbrier Motors has been its base of operations since 1948.
In the mid-1980s, the Rodgers Exxon station and bowling alley properties were purchased and excavated to make room for what is the current new car parking lot.
In the early 1990s, the Collision Center was moved to its current location at 224 N. Rosewood Avenue in Lewisburg.  “In 2017, we expanded again by purchasing the former Alleghany Motors used car lot beside of Cornerstone IGA,”?Wolfe explained. “It is currently used as our Commercial Truck facility.”
Greenbrier Motor Company is West Virginia’s only Certified Agriculture Dealer. It is one of only four Business Link dealers in the state of West Virginia, meaning Greenbrier Motors can sell and service Promaster vans and 4,500 and 5,500 trucks.
“At our current location, we offer sales, service, parts and auto detailing with the Collision Center being operated at our second facility,”?Wolfe explained.
Greenbrier Motors is a DewEze Agricultural Equipment dealer and specializes in commercial upfits. The company stocks and installs commercial upfits ranging from steel flat beds, aluminum flat beds, service bodies and any other sort of upfit.  Eight certified mechanics are employed at Greenbrier Motors with the highest level of training.
Greenbrier Motors is a back-to-back Customer First Award for Excellence dealer. This honor represents less than 10 percent of dealers nationally, and the company is on pace to receive this award again in 2019.  Greenbrier Motors is a long-time supporter of youth programs ranging from youth league sports to FFA, 4H, DARE, Christmas Mother programs, Secret Santa and other programs
.Greenbrier Motors employs 60 workers from Lewisburg and its surrounding communities. For additional information on Greenbrier Motor Company visit greenbriermotors.com or call (304) 645-1010.
