James Edward Brooke, Jr. (Eddie), age 65, of Norfolk died November 13, 2017 at Virginia Beach General Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Brooke was born December 23, 1951 in York, PA and moved to VA shortly after his birth. He graduated from York High School in 1970. He joined the US Navy in August 1971 where he gave 23 years of honorable service as a Boiler Tech.
Mr. Brooke is survived by Dora “Lynn” Brooke (Wife), Crystal Dawn Brooke (Daughter), James “Christian” Brooke (Son), Sharron Petrick (Sister), Ham and Mary Harlow (Parents), Charlotte Marie Brooke (Granddaughter), and Sean Allan Brooke (Grandson), Andrew and Patti DePeter (Brother-in-law/Sister-in-law).
Arrangements held by Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater. He will be cremated and buried at sea with full military honors by the US Navy.
There will be a private celebration of life service held by immediate family and close friends. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to the American Cancer society.
