SELMA — Kay Lynn Pritt Gwin, 56, of 917 Staunton Street, Selma, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at the LewisGale Medical Center in Salem.
She was born in Bath County, April 27, 1962, a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Williams Pritt.
She was currently a housekeeping supervisor at the Omni Homestead resort in Hot Springs, where she had worked for over 33 years.
Kay loved gardening, fishing, canning foods and hiking.
She was devoted to her work and family the most.
She is survived by a daughter, Amanda Gwin and Brian Wright of Covington; a son, Travis Gwin and Kayla Mace of Hot Springs; sisters, Brenda Cauley and Michael Roberts and Cindy Woodzell and husband James, of Hot Springs; brothers, Billy Pritt and Betsy Lockridge of Williamsville and Roy Pritt Jr. and wife Darlene of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Kyle Wright and Isaac Gwin; a special friend, Chuck Wykle; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Gwin in 1982; and by her brother, Oscar Pritt.
In keeping with her wishes her body was creamated.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-7 p.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Home in Hot Springs and from 7-8 p.m. at the home of Cindy and James Woodzell, 155 Incubator Hollow Road, Hot Springs.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1700 McCorkle Avenue, S.E. Third Floor, Charleston W.Va. 25314
