Over 40 holiday creations are displayed in the Historic Masonic Theatre’s Thomas P. Dean/Racey & Dean Underground Lounge as part of the Clifton Forge Woman’s Club Holiday Joy Silent Auction.
The auction opened Tuesday, Nov. 20, and will run through 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, with the final bidding as part of the woman’s club Holiday Home Tour which runs from 10 a.m. to 5  p.m. on Dec. 1.
Everyone is invited to bid on the holiday items while the theatre is open during week days from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and during theatre events such as Carols and Cocoa after the Clifton Forge Christmas Parade on Friday, Nov. 30.
Holiday Joy Silent Auc-tion items range from decorated trees, wreaths, swags, hand painted plates and a painted Christmas magazine rack made of wood, hand-made ornaments, a Christmas frame, holiday snow globe, lantern, basket of honey and many other artistic, imaginative creations sure to inspire holiday joy.
Items have been donated by area merchants, woman’s club members and area artists. All proceeds from the Holiday Joy Silent Auction will help fund woman’s club community projects and the Historic Masonic Theatre.
The Woman’s Club Silent Auction is in its third year as part of the Holiday Home Tour and items donated have continued to increase.
“The quality and scope of the donations for our Holiday Joy Silent Auction is breathtaking,”  said Ann Wright, chair of the Holiday Joy Silent Auction. “Many of our trees and wreaths are ‘themed’ such as our Virginia Tech and wine trees – we have trees of every color.
“We appreciate the time, imagination and commitment that our donors have given to this special effort to help with Clifton Forge Woman’s Club projects such as Christmas Mother, YMCA, Lisa’s Kitchen, Main Street Stars and Stripes, the arts organizations and many other commitments to benefit our entire community,” Wright added.
The Holiday Joy Silent Auction is open for people to bid on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. when the theatre is open, and at the following theatre events an hour prior to the event:
•Friday, Nov. 30, Carols and Cocoa and screening of “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” bidding begins at 6 p.m.;
•Saturday, Dec. 1, Clifton Forge Woman’s Club Holiday Home Tour, bidding between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Winners will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 2; and Holiday Joy Silent Auction items may be picked up on December 2 or 3.
