The Mountain Express transportation system has announced that all trips will be provided for free on Friday, Nov. 23.
This “fare free” day is in appreciation of all Mountain Express customers. If you’ve never ridden the Mountain Express before, or haven’t ridden in a long time, give it a try for free.
Mountain Express is a deviated fixed-route system that runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The usual fare is $1 per trip.
It is managed by RADAR of Roanoke, a non-profit organization that has organized and maintained both public and private human service transportation for more than 40 years.
The complete route schedule is posted on RADAR’s website: www.radartransit.org.
For more information, contact Joseph Baker, director of Regional Transit, RADAR at (800) 964-5707 Ext. 125.
