Our beloved Inas went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 10, 2018.
Inas Wright Loan of New Castle, VA, formerly of Covington, was born in Craig County, VA on February 24, 1921 to Hezzie Wright and Grace Switzer Wright.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Campton A. Loan and her daughter Martha Loan Hamwey.
Additionally, she is preceded in death by her brother Frank (Bill) Wright, brother Ashby Wright and sister-in-law McCoy Wright, sister Dorothy Tingler and brother-in-laws James Slaydon, Bill Donahue, and Jack Abbott.
Left to cherish her memory is son Jerry A. Loan and Kathleen, daughter Toby L. Babb and Carl, daughter Christy L. Rickett and Len, and son-in-law Kenneth Hamwey. Inas has 7 grandchildren Angela, Michael, Steve, Diane, Travis, Neil, and Jacob, as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Inas is also survived by her loving and devoted sister Joyce (Joy) Slaydon, and special sisters Emma Donahue and Geneva Abbott.
She was a lifelong member of Crossroads Church in New Castle.
We will celebrate Inas’ life at Paitsel Funeral Home in New Castle, VA Friday, July 13, 2018 at 12:30 PM with Steve Minnix officiating.
The family will receive friends 11:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will follow at Alleghany Memorial Park, Covington, VA with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren being pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Craig County Rescue Squad in New Castle, VA or to Crossroads Church, New Castle, VA.
