Oler Ira Dudley, Sr., age 85, of 705 Elko Street, Selma, Virginia died Monday, October 2, 2017 at Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation in Clifton Forge. 
He was born February 18, 1932 in Rockbridge County to the late Owen Ira Dudley and Lilla Mae Hickman Dudley.  

He was a self-employed construction worker and enjoyed being outdoors.  He loved his family and listening to country and gospel music, especially the music of Hank Williams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Odessa Dudley, and a daughter, Patricia Ann Graham.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Lee Perry and Mary Elizabeth Perry, both of Clifton Forge; five sons, Kenneth Perry and wife Kathy, Michael Perry and wife Tracy, and Lawrence Dudley and wife Connie, and Oler Ira Dudley, Jr. and wife Brandy, all of Clifton Forge, and Jamie Dudley and wife Wanda of Selma; two sisters, Lucy Anna Dudley and Esther Clark and husband Fred, all of Clifton Forge; a brother, Glenn Dudley and wife Joan of Eagle Rock; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews; and special companions, Winnie and Harmony.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Grover Nicely officiating.  

Following the service, his body will be cremated.  

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, and also following the service on Wednesday, at the home of Oler and Brandy Dudley, Morris Hollow Road, Clifton Forge.
