Susan Marie Moore Baird, 66, of 131 Clark Lane, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
She was born in Covington on July 21, 1951, a daughter of the late Dallas “Musty” and Francis Allen Moore.  

She was a homemaker throughout her life and was a member of the White Sulphur Spring Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Bruce Baird, Sr. in September of 2008; and a grandson, Ian Baird.
She is survived by a daughter, Shannon Lee Baird (Siers) of Covington; two sons, Allen Bruce Baird, Jr. and his wife Melinda, and Brian Lance Baird and wife Kimmy, all of Clifton Forge; a sister, Sheila Spence and her husband Michael of Lewisburg; six grandchildren, Megan Baird, Justin Baird, Molly Rogers, Tori Baird, Abby Rogers, and Isaac Baird; three great-grandchildren, Liam Baird, Lanie Howard, and Lillie Howard; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special friends, Pat and Danny McCoy, of Fredericksburg.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service has been scheduled for Friday, May 25, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, in Clifton Forge with the Reverend Grover Nicely and Mr. Chris Fisher officiating.  

The family will receive friends at Nicely Funeral Home immediately following the service.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contribution in her memory to the American Red Cross.
