Catherine O’Brien Tucker, age 64, of 577 Roxbury Street, Clifton Forge went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at her residence, with her husband, John W. Tucker, by her side.

She was born February 5, 1954 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Charles Patrick O’Brien and Phyllis Richards O’Brien.

Catherine worked for the C. & O. Hospital, Alleghany Regional Hospital, and Dr. Raymond Claterbaugh, Jr., and retired in the 2000’s.

She is survived by her husband, John Tucker of Clifton Forge; two children, Joyce Tucker Nicely and husband Jamie, and Jonathan “Peck” Tucker, both of Clifton Forge; three sisters, Patricia Vance and husband Doug of Roanoke, Mary George of Covington, and Stella Clark of Clifton Forge; three grandchildren, Austin Nicely, Jereme Nicely, and Patrick Tucker; four nephews, Christopher George and wife Heather, Derrick George, Rusty Clark and wife Christin, and Landon Clark and wife, Leanna; two nieces, Mary Catherine Johnson and husband Kenny, and Brooke Starkey and husband Jacob; three great nephews, Logan Bower, Chase Clark, and Zachary Starkey; three great nieces, Mackenzie Clark, Isabella Clark, and Mercy George; three sisters-in-law, Myrtle Thompson, Shirley White, and Margaret Wolfe; a brother-in-law, Jesse Tucker; as well as many friends and loved ones.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Living Stones Ministries, Clifton Forge with Pastor Mike Rollins officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at Living Stones Ministries from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Clifton Forge Area Food Pantry, 909 Church Street, PO Box 361, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
