Dennis William “Wildman” Jack, age 70, of 1922 S. Rugby Ave, Covington, died Friday June 24, 2017 at his residence.
He was born July 7, 1946 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Jasper C. and Daisy Loving Jack.

He was a member of Millboro Christian Church, the Covington Moose Lodge and the NRA.

He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation and a former employee of Hercules.

Dennis was the owner and operator of DJ’s Auto Center, LLC in Covington and was big in NASCAR and all circle track racing. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. His wish was for all of his “riding buddies” to ride their bikes and join him for one more ride.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Smith Jack of Covington; two daughters, Tammy Jack Hosey and husband Thomas of Middleburg, PA and Lani McCallister Skiff of Covington; two sisters, Julia Forney of Glen Burnie, MD and Ella Stark of Goshen; three brothers, Delano Jack of Goshen, “ Skeet” Jack of Millboro and Jasper C. Jack, Jr. of Covington; four grandchildren, Dennis Wayne Hosey of Williamsport, PA, Thomas A. Hosey of Raleigh, NC, Ian-Seth Hunter Myers and Logan McKenna Skiff, both of Covington; a great grandson, who was the joy of his life, Jack Dean Hosey; special nephews, Delano “Junior” Jack; a great nephew D. J. Jack; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Lloyd Via and Reverend Paul Burns officiating.

Interment will follow in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery in Millboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in his memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Association, 1050 Connecticut Ave SW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036
