STAUNTON — Edith May Ehlers, 90, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, in Staunton.
Edith was born Nov. 2, 1928, the daughter of the late Beulah and Jesse May.
She is survived by a son, Ray Ehlers of Luray; one granddaughter; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Betty Brown (John), Sue Terry (Brance) of Covington, Barbara Carpenter of Churchville and Pat Shifflett of Killeen, Texas.
Also surviving are three brothers, Carlos May of Hot Springs, Ralph May (Linda) of Covington and Fred May (Dusty) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Frances May of Hot Springs; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Also preceding her in death are one daughter, Kathy Genaro; four brothers, Basil, Berlin, Edwin and Danny May; one sister, Christine Young.
Her wishes were to be cremated.
A memorial service will be held in Luray at a later date.
