DUNMORE, W.Va. — Pocahontas County put up 26 points in the opening quarter here Thursday night in a 71-34 victory over Bath County.
Elijah Robertson scored 12 of his game-high 20 points for the Warriors (1-7) in the opening eight minutes. Jacob Jones added 16, six in the first period.
Sean Flenner led the Chargers with 19 points, while Damian Flenner added eight.
Over the holidays, Bath County found out they would be without the services of senior Dylan McComb for the remainder of the season.
McComb was injured on December 1 at Grace Christian. He will undergo knee surgery on January 24.
The Chargers, 4-3 on the year, will play at Parry McCluer on Monday.
Pocahontas County doubled up Bath in Thursday’s JV opener, 54-27.
Hadden Mick and Dalton Hendrick both had 12 points for the winners.
Jaden Ryder led Bath County with 11, Matthew Keyser had 10, Russell Ingram scored four and Ethan Hyler added two.
