MONTEREY — Bath County fought back from a double-digit first-half hole here Tuesday night.
Gabrie Herscher scored a game-high 15 points and sealed things with a pair of free throws late in the Chargers’ 38-36 Pioneer District girls basketball triumph over Highland County.
The win gained Bath County a little bit of payback from their rivals.
The Rams defeated the Chargers twice in December — a 38-29 win in the championship game of the Grace Christian tournament and a 50-43 victory in a district game in Hot Springs.
Tuesday, Highland County (2-7 Pioneer, 7-9 overall) jumped to a 13-5 lead after one, before Bath County rallied.
Herscher scored 12 of her 15 in the second half, while Kassedi Estes had nine and Selena Wolfe netted six.
Morgan Adams led the Rams with nine points, while Hannah Adams and Sydney Armstrong both scored eight apiece.
Bath?County (1-5 Pioneer, 4-10 overall) hosts Craig County tonight.
