LEXINGTON, VA — The Rockbridge County High School Athletic Department is thrilled to announce the hiring of Shawn Helmintoller as the new head coach of the Wildcats boys basketball program. Coach Helmintoller takes the reins with a proven track record of player development, program stability, and a deep-rooted commitment to student-athletes.
 
Bringing six years of total coaching experience ranging from competitive travel basketball to the high school ranks, Helmintoller is uniquely positioned to lead the Wildcats. “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Coach Helmintoller into this new leadership role,” said the Rockbridge County Athletic Department. “The energy, passion, and cultural foundation he brings to our school and our young men is exactly what we need to take this program to the next level. We are excited to see his vision come to life on and off the court.”
 
Coach Helmintoller’s coaching philosophy centers on accountability, relentless work ethic, and unconditional support. Under his leadership, players can expect a high-energy environment where they will be challenged to reach their full potential, backed by the unwavering assurance that their coach will always show up for them.
 
The Rockbridge County community, students, and fans are invited to welcome Coach Helmintoller in his new role as the Wildcats prepare for an exciting upcoming season.
