Clifton Forge Town Council To Convene TONIGHT For Reorganizational Meeting

CLIFTON?FORGE — Clifton Forge Town Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m.
The meeting will be held at town hall.
Council will organize for 2019 and elect a mayor and vice mayor.
Under presentations, council will hear remarks from Ray Allen concerning a resolution to have Appalfolks of America recognized by the Virginia General Assembly.
Under action items, council will consider the resolution in support of Appalfolks.
Also under action items, council will accept reports from the police department, the public library, public works, the wastewater treatment plant, community development and the fire department.
Under information items, council will be reminded that town offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Council will review a list of several upcoming events and hold a closed session to discuss personnel matters related to appointments to board and commissions.
