BUENA VISTA — Josh Chapman notched a game-high 17 points here Monday night, leading Parry McCluer to a 59-36 Pioneer District boys basketball win over Bath County.
The Fighting Blues pulled away in the second quarter, using a 20-8 advantage to take a 34-14 lead to the halftime break.
Sean Flenner scored 12 points for the Chargers, while Damian Flenner added seven.
Parry McCluer improved to 3-0 in the Pioneer District with the win, 8-3 overall.
Bath County, now 1-1 in the Pioneer and 4-4 overall, entertains Covington on Wednesday night.
Parry McCluer was a 49-8 winner in Monday’s junior varsity game.
Jaden Ryder had four points for the Chargers, Forest Waldeck added two, while Matthew Keyser and Brennan Gardzinski added one apiece.
Durham Baker led the Blues with 13 points.
Parry McCluer led 30-3 at the halftime break.
