Covington Falls Short At Narrows

NARROWS — Audrey Riddle scored 13 points here Tuesday night, lifting Narrows to a 48-34  Pioneer District girls basketball win over Covington.
Nine of Riddle’s points came in the second half when the Green Wave outscored the Cougars, 26-18.
Hailey Blankenship added eight for Narrows (2-0 Pioneer, 2-6 overall), while both Haley Lawrence and Alyssa Bishop had seven each.
Amiah Hunter scored nine of her team-high 11 points in the final quarter for Covington.
Both Cristi Persinger and Kim Via had seven each for the Cougars, who dropped to 1-3 in the Pioneer and 2-10 overall.
Covington hosts Bath County tonight.
Narrows was a 46-17 winner in Tuesday’s junior varsity game.
Lauren Bragg scored eight to lead the Cougars, Samya Allen added six, Raven Heighter scored two and Allison Douglas added one.
