Covington Wins At Craig County

NEW CASTLE — Rickey Jefferson had a game-high 16 points, Tijon Rice added 13 and Jabari Williams scored 10 in Covington’s 65-47 Pioneer District boys basketball win over Craig County Friday night.
Devin Hutchison had 13 points for the Rockets (0-3 Pioneer, 3-7 overall)
Covington (4-1 Pioneer, 5-9 overall) plays at James Monroe, W.Va. on Wednesday.
The Cougar JV’s were 53-34 winners in Friday night’s opener.
Logan Jefferson led Covington with 12 points, while Jacob Roldan scored 11.
Kewaun Whitaker had nine, Gunner Givens scored eight, Sammy Akers had six, Chadwick Tacy scored three and both Levi Dressler and Ashton Cook had two each.
