On Monday, March 11, at 6:45 p.m., Boys Home of Virginia will host a free garden planning workshop with Master Gardener Pat Hartman.
The workshop will take place in the Boys Home School, located at 414 Boys Home Road in Covington.
Gardeners, aspiring gardeners, garden and vegetable enthusiasts, and curious bystanders are invited to attend.
Participants are encouraged to RSVP by calling 965-7700.
Happening in conjunction with the Boys Home sustainable agriculture program, the workshop is the first of six workshops focused on garden planning, planting, maintenance, heart-healthy cooking, food preservation, and season extension.
This workshop is being made possible by Grow Appalachia, a nonprofit organization out of Berea College in Kentucky.
