Alleghany County School Board To Convene Monday At Central Offices

LOW?MOOR?— The Alleghany County School Board will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at the Central Office Complex in Low Moor.
The board will hear public comments from Dee Ann Tickner, Samantha Jill Smith and Michele Nicely.
Under budget and finance, the board will receive an update on the 2019-2020 budget.
Superintendent’s reports and recommendations will include:
— Calendar information.
— Approval of a Title V grant application.
— Information on the special education plan.
— An update on the One-to-One Initiative.
— Proposed Web filtering changes for juniors and seniors at Alleghany High School.
— Chromebook purchases.
— An update on capital improvements and operational maintenance.
There will be a closed session to discuss personnel matters, legal matters and school safety reports.
